This program will introduce you to all the key principles of finance, with a particular focus on recent developments in this dynamic sector. For example, you’ll learn about the challenges of FinTech, Big Data and stochastic simulations, as well as behavioral finance and the R language. For 15 years, this MSc has been training experts in the financial professions.
It is offered on a sandwich course basis, so you can work while you study.
What is the curriculum of the MSc Financial Markets, Trading & Risk Management?
Students in this program take general courses common to all MSc students in management, negotiation, IT and English. They also take courses directly related to their specialization, such as :
- financial mathematics ;
- big data in the banking environment ;
- taxation, assets and investments ;
- financial risk management in banking ;

- bloomberg advanced ;
- excel, VBA applied to finance ;
- cryptocurrency, NFT & trading;
- trading raw materials ;
- bond markets.
Good to know: the AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) certification exam is included in the curriculum.
What is the degree awarded by the MSc Financial Markets, Trading & Risk Management?
Successful completion of this course will enable you to obtain the title of “Expert in Financial Analysis”, registered with the RNCP and corresponding to a 2nd year postgraduate level. To obtain certification, you’ll need to validate a number of general skills and skills specific to your area of specialization.
You can join the MSc Financial Markets, Trading & Risk Management at different times of the year. The classic back-to-school period is scheduled in September or October. A second intake is scheduled for February/March, enabling you to join INSEEC during the year if you wish to change direction, for example.

Students with a 1st year postgraduate diploma can apply directly to go into the 2nd year of this MSc i.e. in the fifth year, and complete their master’s degree in one year at INSEEC.
Is it possible to study abroad during the MSc Financial Markets, Trading & Risk Management?
The MSc Financial Markets, Trading & Risk Management does not provide for international mobility during the two years of study. However, you will have the opportunity to take part in internships during your studies. These internships can often be carried out abroad.
